Teacher training out of touch, Kosky warns

Lynne Kosky, Victorian Minister for Edcuation and Training claims that teacher educators are out of touch with schools because they arn't spending enough time in schools keeping up to date with 'cutting edge teaching developments'.

I wonder how much time Lynne spends in schools these days? If she spent more time in English classrooms she might learn to think and talk for herself and not parrot the same old line about the distance between universities and schools.

This kind of binary only serves to further validate artificial populist theory-practice divides.

There is nothing so practical as a good theory.
